The biggest fear
I’ve been thinking about creating this blog for a long time and I finally decided to put it up on the web today. I‘m not sure why it took me so long to post, but one of the reasons could be the risk of failing. After all the time I’ve spent learning about website promotion, finding a name, finding a host, creating content and a whole bunch of other things to turn this blog into a place where people can find good information about losing weight, it will be very embarrassing if I don’t reach my goal. The other risk is that I might actually achieve my goal and lose all the extra pounds that I’ve been carrying for all these years but its possible that nobody will show up to see the blog and learn from my experience Of course this wouldn’t be as bad as the first scenario but I would consider it to be a failure as well. I believe there are certain things in life you have the power to change and others that are beyond your control. In my case whether or not I lose weight is totally in my hands and I can’t blame anyone if I fail. Turning this place a popular spot where people can come and learn a little bit about the problems of obesity isn’t in my control. Success will depend on so many factors. All I can do is just try to do my best and hope that people will connect with me and my story for one reason or another. I guess that I’ll have to live with this paradox for the next few months, but to tell you the truth I can feel the pressure that I’ve been putting on myself and I hope that I don’t screw up this time. |
